National Cricket League: Both Tier-2 matches end in draw

Both the first round Tier-2 four-day matches of 18th National Cricket League (NCL) ended in draw on the 4th and final day at separate venues across the country on Wednesday.
Chittagong Division played to a draw against Rangpur Division at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium while Rajshahi Division settled for a draw against Sylhet Division at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi.
After the first round matches, Chittagong Division have secured 10 points while Rangpur Division nine points, Rajshahi Division seven points and Sylhet Division collected six points.
Chittagong Division resumed the 2nd innings (first innings 368) with overnight score of 151 for 5 and were all out for 251 runs in 66.5 overs.
In reply, Rangpur Division opened the 2nd innings with the first innings total of 355 runs and scored 224 for 5 in 43 overs at the end of the 4th and final day to settle for a draw.
Right arm medium pacer Yasir Arafat Mishu of Chittagong bagged five wickets in the first innings and two wickets in the second innings to be adjudged man of the match.

In Rajshahi, Sylhet Division resumed the first inning with overnight score of 57 for 5 and were all out for 175 runs replying to hosts Rajshahi Division’s 199 runs in the first innings.
Later, Rajshahi opened the 2nd innings and scored 120 for 4 at stumps on the 4th and final day.
