Daffodil International University’s book titled Empowering Students to Learn Fundamentals of Programming has been published recently from the official press of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM).
Publishing the book is a result of an international collaboration, research and publication. The work started with a LEADHER project awarded by the International Association of Universities (IAU) to develop research capacity at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) where six persons from Daffodil International University (DIU) attended.
Upon return a research project was designed and carried out on a total of about 300 students. The research was designed by Prof Dr Yusuf M Islam (DIU) and reviewed by Dr Faridah Ibrahim (USM).
The research in the book presents the success/failure combined novel approach that creatively engages a student to dynamically debug code and thus learn the most difficult skill of debugging.
