A high-powered committee will be formed to formulate a time-bound National Sports Policy with a view to protecting youths from moral degradation by encouraging them in sports.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Sports Council (NSC) executive committee in the conference room of NSC in the capital on Tuesday.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Shikder presided over the meeting.
At the meeting, a sub-committee was also formed to approve the constitution of the National Pera Olympic Committee in order to organise different sports events for the physically challenged people.
