Police recovered a body of a youth, known as a police source, from section-12 of Pallabi area in the capital early Friday.
The deceased is Jony (23), son of one Shariyat Ullah. Jony who lived in
Block-D, Shahidbag of Shah Paran slum area, used to work as a police source.
Members of Pallabi Police Station recovered the body from a pool of the slum area.
Jony’s father claimed that his son went on missing from October 17. A General Diary (GD) was filed with Pallabi police station in this regard on October 20.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Pallabi Police Station Abdul Halim said Jony’s legs and hands were found tied with ropes during the recovery. The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.
