Dead Body of a college student was recovered from the bank of a pond in the village Parnoapara under Sadar Upazila in Bagerhat district on Thursday morning.
He was identified as Al-Mamun (18), son of one Sattar Tarafdar of village Ataikathi under the same Upazila and a student of XII class of Najirpur Shahid Zia Degree College in Pirojpur district.
It is reported that in the morning some locals found the dead body and informed the police of the matter. Being informed of the matter police rushed to the spot, recovered the dead body and sent the same to Bagerhat morgue for autopsy.
It is guessed that the college student, perhaps, committed suicide by taking poison. Md Enayet Ali Khondokar, 2nd Officer of Bagerhat Model PS disclosed, after the receipt of postmortem report the cause of his death will be ascertained and accordingly, a case will be registered.
