Police on Wednesday recovered the bodies of a newborn baby and a young girl from Hathajari upazila and Patenga in the city respectively.
Officer-in-charge of Hathazari Police Station Belal Uddin said locals spotted the decomposed body of the newborn baby at Rongipara in the upazila and informed police. Police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Meanwhile, sub-inspector of Patenga Police Station Md Anwar Hossain said they found the body of an unidentified young girl at Patenga sea beach. The young girl had injury marks on her face, he said.
