UNB, Comilla :
Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Friday said that BNP lost to the political strategy of Awami League, by boycotting the January 5 general election.
“BNP must have realised its mistake… they’ve now plunged to the fray in the upcoming upazila parishad elections,” he said. Obaidul Quader made the remarks to reporters while inspecting the progress of the four-lane project on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Chandina upazila.
About the term of current parliament and mid-term election, the minister
said there is nothing called frustration in politics.
“BNP will have to learn from its mistakes,” he said, adding that “we’ ve been elected for five years. But nothing can be said now how long we’ll stay in power.” Obaidul said the government is giving priority to complete the work on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway.
He informed that the Chinese Company has resumed their task after stopping the project work for several months due to political unrest in the country.
