Staff Reporter :
The BNP on Friday apprised US Ambassador Earl R Miller in his residence about various categories of irregularities that took place in the December 30 national polls.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir led a three-member delegation in the meeting with the ambassador.
The two other leaders were party’s Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and Executive Committee
Member Tabith Awal.
They produced some documents of vote rigging committed in the election in a committed way in the one and half hours long meeting that began at 10:00am and ended at about 11:30am.
There was, however, no press briefing from either side about the meeting.
A BNP leader close to Mirza Fakhrul said the BNP delegation talked about various sides of the national polls and provided Miller with various documents, including newspaper cuttings and video clips on election irregularities and vote rigging.
