Bkash businessman hacked to death in Lalmonirhat

A Bkash businessman named Ayub Ali (40) was stabbed to death by miscreants in Kaliganj upazila of the district Lalmonirhat. The incident took place in Batrish Hazari village of Chandrapur union of the upazila around 1am on meednight Wednesday .
The deceased was identified as Ayub Ali, son of Abdul Matin of Harishwar area under Chalbala union of the upazila. He used to do bkash and mobile recharge business in the local Chaparhat market.
According to locals and police, Ayub Ali was returning home on a motorcycle with money in his bag after closing the shop as usual. On the way, miscreants blocked the way of Ayub Ali when they reached the dirt road adjacent to Dhananjay Kechu’s house in Batrish Hazari village of Chandrapur union of the upazila. He died on the spot with a sharp weapon. Later, the miscreants left the Ramda used in the murder at the spot and fled with a bag of money belonging to Ayub Ali.
Kaliganj Police Station OC Golam Rasool confirmed the incident and said, “Police are going to the spot and preparing an inquest report on the body.”
