BJS demands election in a month, legal action threatened

The leaders of the Bangladesh Jewellery Samity, Chittagong Chapter demanded executive committee election in a month otherwise legal actions will be taken againt the present EC committee .
 The warning for legal action was announced in the press conference held at Chitagong Press Club hall yesterday morning.
 In the press conference , the leaders of the BJS alleged against the present President Nurul Absar and the general secretary Subash Dhar for their irregularities and involvement in corruption blames.
Senior vice president of the samity Mrinal kanti Dhar read out the written statement before the pressmen . The press meet was told that the duration of the present committee expires one year’s ago, but they did not declare the schedule o f the next election. Out of 22 members committee, 19 members were present in the press meet and expressed no confidence against the president and the secretary. Among others, vice president md. kamal pasha and Ripon kanti Dhar, Additional Secretary Swapn Chowdhury, Joint Secretary Sujit, Prakash Dhar, Khokan Dhar, Mamun Sarwar spoke in it.
5 armed snatchers detained : Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested five armed snatchers from the city’s Tiger Pass area on Thursday night.
The arrested were identified as gang leader Mohammad Ujjal Sheikh alias Jahangir, 29, Moin Uddin, 22, Mohammad Babul, 30, Mohammad Jahangir Alam, 32 and Raju, 30.
Police also recovered two CNG-auto rickshaws, a Light Gun (LG), two rounds cartridges and five daggers from their possession.
