National flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines will resume its halted flights on Dhaka-Barisal- Dhaka route from April 8, eight-year after suspending domestic flights on this sector on November 16, 2006.
Barisal Airport also became inoperative for commercial passenger flights after United Airways suspended operation of domestic flights from August 11, 2014 on Dhaka-Barisal-Dhaka sector.
Khalilur Rahman, Barisal office manager of Biman , said 74-seated Dash-8 Q-800 plane has been selected to operate weekly two flights on this sector.
