Bibi Russel, Entrepreneur, International Renowned Fashion Designer and Model delivered a lecture on “Entrepreneurship with Creative Fashion” as Keynote Speaker at the 10th Industry- Academia Lecture series held at Milonayoton 71 of Daffodil International University (DIU) on Sunday.
Career Development Center of the university organized “DIU Industry- Academia Lecture Series on Entrepreneurship Development with the aim to inform and motivate the educated youths of the struggle and challenges faced on route to success by well known entrepreneurs of the country.
Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU delivered the welcome address in the program. The program was also addressed by Prof Dr SM Mahabub Ul Haque Majumder, Acting Vice Chancellor Abu Taher Khan, Director, Career Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil International University. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Student Affairs moderated the program.
Bibi Russell said, money earning is not the full meaning of life. You can earn money in many ways. But, it is not easy to gain name and fame. If you can live with honor and dignity that would be more meaningful life and for that you must have to know your own creed, culture and heritage. You have to cherish your native in heart.
Bibi Russell also said that without respecting your parents you cannot show respect to any other and can’t achieve anything honorable for you. Family learning is the best learning and it plays an important role in every human life. Today’s BibiI Russel is the output of my parents contribution and family learning. My parents blessings and family learning make me as a Bibi Russell. My family introduced me with art, culture and heritage from early childhood, she added.
She urged the students to learn not to be afraid of anyone rather learn to respect men and keep courage in your heart and go ahead with your cherished dream. World-renowned organizations didn’t award me not looking at my glamour rather they evaluated my works. I achieved those recognitions only through my work. She advised the students not to be frustrated rather bearing courage in mind.
Ms. Bibi Russell dreamed that one day Bangladeshi weaving industry would reach top position of the world. She said, I would not sell my dream. I will establish Bangladeshi weaving fashion globally by competition.
Md. Sabur Khan said, Bibi Russell is a great example that how represents the country as a fashion designer. Only Patriotism and love for Bengali Culture Bibi came to Bangladesh from Europe. We have to learn from her a lot.
Md. Sabur Khan also said that we should come out from our traditional education system. We should collaborate with industry and academy. We should also think about that how we have included Bibi’s works and initiative in fashion in our course curriculum.
With the aim to inform and motivate the educated youths of the struggle and challenges faced on route to success by the well known entrepreneurs of the country, Daffodil International University Industry Academia Lecture Series was introduced by Career Development Center (CDC) where country’s renowned 12 successful well known Entrepreneurs will took part in these lecture series gradually in different episode and will deliver their success story. Bibi Russel, Entrepreneur, International Renowned Fashion Designer and Model delivered the 10th lecture of the series today on “Entrepreneurship with creative Fashion”.
The lectures of these 12 successful entrepreneurs will be compiled and published as a book which will act as a reference book for the students of Business Administration, Economics and Entrepreneurship Development department. This book will help the students to learn and understand their gained academic knowledge in perspective of real life experience. Initiative has been taken to develop 12 individual video documentaries on these successful entrepreneurs from Carer Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil International University.
