Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) on Wednesday hailed the government’s initiatives for revival of the Newspapers Employees Services and Conditions Act, 1974 with necessary amendments for the welfare of the journalist community.
In a statement, BFUJ President Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul and Secretary General Omar Faruque appreciated the government for taking steps to revive the 1974 act as the Prime Minister, in view of to the demand of the journalist community, advised reinstating the law with necessary amendments.
