Benapole-Dhaka direct train service will be started from July 25. After 48 years of independence, the introduction of train communication between Dhaka-Benapole will be a unique example for people of this region.
Benapole Railway Station Master Saiduzzaman said , Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the train service through video conference from Dhaka.
When rail connectivity with Dhaka, business travel, as well as passport passenger travel will be of great benefit.
Every day six to seven thousand passport passengers travel in India through Benapole checkpost from the remote areas of the country.
Benapole Railway Station Master Saiduzzaman said the Benapole Dhaka Railway will be started on 25th of this month. This train has 10 bogies. But no name of the railways has been fixed yet. Initially Benapole Express, Bandhan Express and Ichamati Express were chosen as three names. He said there will be two cabins, two AC chairs and the remaining chairs in 10 compartments.
Cabin rental will be initially Tk 1,200, AC chair rent will be Tk 1,000 and non AC chair will be 500 taka. But it will be stopped at a few places . In one word, the rail will run as nonstop.
