A beheaded body of a teen aged boy was retrieve from a pond- bank in Peyarikhola village under Matlab Dakhshin Upazila on Monday afternoon.
His missing separated head was also recovered from a ditch near the spot at 4.30 am on Tuesday after frantic search by Police , close kin and locals.
Due to a past enmity, the youth was murdered brutally by miscreants..
The deceased was identified as Sohel Rana, 17, son of Md Jamir Hossain of the same village and an apprentice in auto driving in the locality.
On Monday afternoon, seeing the body – without -head lying beside the pond bank of the deceased Sohel Rana’s maternal uncle, the pedestrians shouted and then other locals gathered at the spot.
On getting information, OC Swapon Aich along with Police force rushed and rescued the headless body. The search for the missing head of the body was going on till early hours on Tuesday-said OC adding ‘We are looking into the matter’. At last, after frantic search, the missing separated head was found in a ditch beside the pond where the headless body was earlier found.
