City detective police of CMP rounded up six drug peddlers from different city areas on Thursday.
Huge quantities of yaba, ganza and phensidyle were recovered from their possession. Acting on secret information, police conducted raid in Kotwali,Baizid and Karnaphuli thana area from Wednesday late night to Thursday afternoon.
According to police sources, Md. Mali was arrested from Ice factory road with 25 bottles of phensidyl, Anowara Begum from Stat ion road with hem, Md Jewel from railway station area, Sirajul Monir from Shah Amanat bridge area with yaba and Monoara Begum from Baizid area with 4 kgs hem . Separate cases under narcotics act have been lodged with the respective police stations, sources said.
