In one of the most anticipated films of the year, Gabbar is Back starring Akshay Kumar, also features a romantic song sequence with Kareena Kapoor Khan. During the promotions for the film, Akshay couldn’t stop singing praises about Kareena’s performance in the song, Teri Meri Kahaani.
The film focuses on an aam aadmi standing up to corruption, where Akshay plays a tough guy with an emotional side.
The soulful song shows him romancing Kareena and talks about the journey of the couple, making it important to the whole narrative of the film.
While Kareena is only known to make appearances for her close friends, she took on the project even though she had to adjust her dates. Excited about the song, she adds,”Relationships in this industry have always mattered to me and my song in “Gabbar is Back” is for a friend- Shabinaa Khan. I had a great time doing a small cameo in the Rowdy Rathore song and shooting for this song was even more fun and enjoyable”.
Akshay too, wanted Kareena to be a part of Gabbar Is Back, just like her cameo in Rowdy Rathore. He said, “Bebo has been an integral part of my career, we’ve done many movies together and one can only hope we have many more to come, she is everything one could ever ask in a Hindi actress.
