A Bangladeshi youth was shot dead by miscreants in Cape Town of South Africa on Friday morning.
The victim was identified as Wasim, 21, son of one Kayes Mia of Amtoli village under Nabinagar Upazila of Brahmanbaria district.
Deceased’s elder brother Jasim Uddin, who has also been living in Cape Town, informed the matter to the
family members through mobile phone.
Wasim’s cousin Zahir Raihan told the newsmen that the victim went to South Africa seven months ago and had a retail shop of stationery goods there.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, however, did not confirm the death till the time of filing of this report at 7:30 pm yesterday.
