Blogger Rajib murder Next deposition on July 5

A court here yesterday fixed July 5 for next deposition in connection with the murder of Ganojagoran Mancha activist and blogger Rajib Haider.
Dhaka’s Speedy Trial Tribunal-3 Judge Sayeed Ahmed fixed the date for recording the incomplete deposition of Rajib’s younger brother Mortuza Haider.
Earlier on February 15 in 2013, a gang of miscreants brutally murdered Rajib at Palashnagar, Kalshi under Pallabi Police Station.
Dr Nizam Uddin, father of the slain Rajib, filed a murder case with Pallabi Police Station to this end.
Inspector of Detective Branch (DB) of police and also investigation officer of the case Nibaran Chandra Barman submitted a charge sheet accusing eight persons in connection with the case on January 29 last year.
The charge-sheeted accused are: North South University student Faisal Bin Nayeem alis Dipu, Maksudul Hasan Anik, Ehsanur Raja Rumman, Md Naim Shikder alias Irad, Nafir Imtiaz, Sadman Yasir Mahmud, Mufti Jasim Uddin Rahmani and Redanul Azad Rana. All of them gave confessional statements under section 164 before the court. A Dhaka court on March 18 in 2015 framed charges against the accused.
