Bangladesh Under-19 Football team reached Tajikistan safely Saturday morning to play in the five-team Group B matches of the AFC Under-19 Championship Qualifiers beginning on Tuesday at the Hisor Central Stadium in Dushanbe.
A 31-member Bangladesh team, including 23 booters and 8 officials, left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday and reached Tajikistan after a transit in Dubai.
Bangladesh team, put in Group B of the Asian meet along with Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, the Maldives and Sri Lanka, will start their campaign taking on hosts Tajikistan in one of the two opening day matches on Tuesday at 5:00 pm (local time) at the Hisor Central Stadium in Dushanbe.
The Maldives will play Sri Lanka in the group opener on the same day at 2:00 pm (local time) at the same venue.
In the remaining qualifying round matches, Bangladesh will face the Maldives on Nov 2, Uzbekistan on Nov 6 and Sri Lanka on Nov 8 at the same venue.
The ten group champion teams along with the five best runners-up of the 10 Asian groups will earn the rights play in the final round of the tournament.
