3 more killed in road crashes

At least three more persons were killed and several others injured in separate road crashes in the country on Wednesday night and Thursday.
In Chattogram, two persons were killed and four others critically injured when a bus collided face-to-face with an auto-rickshaw in front of Old Baklia Police Station in Chattogram city Thursday.
The deceased are Jamal, 40, the auto-rickshaw driver and an unidentified woman of 30 years age. The accident occurred around 8:30am.
CMCH Police Outpost Sub-Inspector
(SI) Alauddin Talukder told media that around five persons were taken to the CMCH following the collision between a CNG-driven auto-rickshaw and a Cox’s Bazar-bound bus. Of them, two were declared dead by the physicians.
In Dhaka, a man was killed after a running train rammed a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Nakhalpara level crossing at the city’s Tejgaon on Wednesday night (August 29).
The identity of the deceased could not be known yet.
Mizanur Rahman, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Dhaka Railway Police confirmed the matter to Media.
