Tri-Nation ODI series: BD take on Lanka today

Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka in the last league match of the Tri-Nation ODI series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur today. The clash begins at 12.00 Noon. GTV will telecast the match live from the arena.
All-win Bangladesh gained 15 points
(including bonus points) from three matches. On the other hand, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe earned only four points each from their respective three and four matches. Bangladesh have already confirmed their final berth.
If Sri Lanka win the match against Bangladesh, Lanka will reach the final. Besides, if Bangladesh win over Sri Lanka in a big margin, Lanka’s hope to play in final will be go in vain. Bangladesh team did not take part in practice session on Wednesday.
Technical Director of Bangladesh team Khaled Mahmud Sujan said, ” Tomorrow’s match is very important for us. Every match is vital for our team.”
Sujan said, “The bowlers are performing well. They bowled tight and controlled bowling in every match. Before this series, our bowlers did not get wickets in new balls. But the bowlers picked up wickets using new balls.”
He said, ” If our batsmen can bounce back in any situation, then our team will be a solid one.”
Acting Captain of Sri Lanka Dinesh Chandimal said, ” Bangladesh are now the best side in their history of cricket. Bangladesh have top players like Tamim, Shakib, Mushfiq and Mahmudullah. Their senior players are doing their job appropriately. Most of the players are playing seven to eight years as a team. It is an advantage. They are showing extra-ordinary performance.”
He said, ” Bangladesh are up to the mark side in their home soil. It is an advantage. They are really good side in home.”
