Sharif Adibur Rahman, a class eight student of European Standard School (ESS) in the capital’s Dhanmondi area, has become Grand Champion at the Aloha Mental Arithmetic International Competition-2018 held at the World Trade Center in Moscow, Russia on Sunday.
Previous year’s Adib also become the first runner-up at International Arithmetic Competition of 2015, 2016 and 2017 held in Manila, Philippines and Yogyakarta, Indonesia and Kualalampur, Malaysia respectively. Every year nearly 50,000 students from 35 countries including Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Philippines, Australia, United State of America, United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Croatia, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Russia etc participated in this International Arithmetic Competition.
Sharif Adibur Rahman is the 2nd son of Freedom fighter and former District judge Sharif Lutfor Rahman and English medium School Teacher Nayema Khanum Beauty and grandson of Late educationist Prof ANM Abdul Mannan Khan, Ex-chairman, Department of Arabic, Dhaka University. He seeks Dua from all.
