BD lose to SA in 2nd ODI

Bangladesh lost to South Africa by 104 runs in the second One Day International (ODI) match at Paarl in South Africa on Wednesday. Thereby South Africa won the ODI series.
Sent into bat first, South Africa piled up a mammoth total of 353 for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
In reply, Bangladesh were all out for 249 off 47.5 overs.
Bangladesh made a good start with Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes, the two openers contributed 44 runs in the opening stand before Tamim Iqbal (23) was unfortunately trapped leg before wicket by Dwaine Pretorius.
Then Liton Das (14) was trapped leg before wicket by Andile Phehlukwayo when the tourists’ total was 69 for the loss of two wickets.
Opener Imrul Kayes and Mushfiqur Rahim repaired the damage adding together 93 runs for the second wicket partnership before Imrul Kayes was caught at the extra cover by AB de Villiers off Imran Tahir when the Tigers’ score was 162 for the loss of three wickets.
Imrul hit a superb 68. His 77-ball innings was ornamented with six fours and a sixer. It was Imrul’s 14th ODI half-century.
Third-down Shakib Al Hasan (5) could stay at the crease for a short period as he was caught behind by wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock off Imran Tahir when the visitors’ total was 171 for the loss of four wickets.
After Shakib’s dismissal, Mushfiqur Rahim was caught at the point by JP Duminy off Pretorius when Bangladesh’s score was 184 for the loss of five wickets.
