Sabbir Hossain :
The second match between Australia and Bangladesh will be crucial one for both of them, as they lost their opening encounters on Friday and Wednesday last respectively. So, none of them have any option to show any leniency to the opponents and there is no doubt that the cricketers will play their best to stay in the race.
Bangladesh and Australia will play their second match in Group 2 of the ICC World Twenty20 in Bangalore, India today. The match begins at 8.00 pm. Bangladesh Television and G TV will telecast the match live.
Bangladesh lost to Pakistan by 55 runs in their first match in Kolkata, India on March 16. On the other hand, Australia suffered an eight runs defeat to New Zealand in Dharamsala, India on March 18.
Meanwhile, ICC has temporarily suspended Bangladeshi two key bowlers Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny for what is called illegal bowling action. It has morally upset to some extent, which the Bangladeshi players will overcome with spirits and zeal..
An international cricket website informed that Captain of Bangladesh team Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said, “We are very upset with the decision. It is very disappointing. We still believe that Taskin is alright. The system of examining the bowling action of a player is questionable. But we can’t do anything at the moment. We have to go through the process.”
Mashrafe said, “The two bowlers have done very well for us. Taskin has been outstanding in the last eight matches. His economy rate is less than six. It is a big blow. Sunny also has been bowling well.”
On the other hand, Captain of Australia team Steven Smith said, “We are playing in different conditions although lot of us have played in the IPL for years. However, we shall try our best.”
