BCL must be disciplined, service oriented

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid on Friday said Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) must be disciplined and remain with the people for catering to their needs.
“We want to work for the people, so we want an organization of good people,” said the state minister while addressing as chief a triennial conference of the Chhatra League in Konda union under Keraniganj.
The BCL, founded by Father of the Nation, is a historical and traditional student organization so there should not be any place for persons in the group who are not student, he added.
With Romel Mahmud, convener of Konda Union Chhatra League, in the chair, the conference was attended by Upazila Awami League convener and Upazila Parishad Chairman Shahin Ahmed as the special guest.
Personal assistant secretary to the state minister ME Mamun, Union Awami League convener Abul Hossen Ratan, Joint Convener Jafar Iqbal Bappi, Quazi Sultan Mahmud Saiful, Konda Union Council Chairman Muhammd Saidur Rahman Faruque, Jinjira UP Chairman Hazi Sakur Hossen Saku, Dhaka District Chhatra League General Secretary Monir Hossain Rajib, Organizing Secretary HM Mehedi Hasan and HM Rubel and convener of South Keraniganj thana Chatra League Faruque Hossain Mithu, among others, spoke at the function.
The state minister also announced a partial committee of Konda Union Chhatra League.
