However, it is not clear yet, the ULAB student died after rape or alcohol poisoning?
Meanwhile, a court has granted five-day remand to two friends in the case. Different sources said that there were five people in the Bamboo Shoot restaurant in Uttara on January 28. There the ULAB student as well as five friends were found drinking alcohol.
Later, ULAB student was raped and hospitalized after she fell sick. Three days later she died on January 31.
Not only the ULAB student but also their friend Arafat also died at the capital’s City General Hospital on January 30. Doctors cited “excessive drinking” as the cause of death. Immediately after his death, he was buried without informing the police. Police have already contacted Arafat’s family to find out the mystery of the incident. As an accused in the case, police may ask for exhuming his body from the grave for postmortem if necessary, said the police.
On the other hand, Neha is on the run, police are looking for her, police further said.
Sources said police have found a picture of the incident after the primary interrogation of arrestees. According to their information, the victim and Rayhan had love affairs with each other.
They went to Bamboo Shoot restaurant at Uttara. The girl’s friend Neha and her boy friend were already present at the restaurant. Neha’s boy friend provided the alcohol. They started drinking after five of them got together.
At one point, Neha fell ill and went to the restaurant toilet and vomited. Then Neha and her friend left. The victim, Rayhan and Arafat continued to drink alcohol in the restaurant.
Sometimes later, the victim went to the toilet and also vomited. Seeing that situation, Rayhan and Arafat took the victim out of the restaurant together and took a Uber. Arafat dropped off the victim and Rayhan at Gulshan-2.
After getting down at Gulshan-2, the victim said that she would not go home, but asked him to take her to her friend Tafsir’s house. Then the two of them went to the Tafsir’s house in Mohammadpur.
Tafsir lived with her mother in that house. However, Tafsir was alone that day. Immediately after that the victim vomited when they reached house. Tafsir and Rayhan cleared the vomit. Tafsir then left Rayhan and the victim in one room and went to another room.
Then Rayhan had sexual relations with the victim more than once at night. Next day early morning, Rayhan left the victim at Tafsir’s house and went to his own house. Later, the victim was feeling weak since morning.
Rayhan came to Tafsir’s house at noon and looking after the victim. At midnight on Friday, Rayhan called his friend Koko to report the victim’s physical illness. Then Koko came and the victim first took to Ibn Sina Hospital.
However, as the hospital did not have adequate ICU facilities, took her to Anwer Khan Modern Medical College Hospital. The victim was kept in the ICU there.
Then Rayhan called the victim’s father and informed him about all the matter. The victim’s father came to Dhaka from Chittagong. But his daughter died the next day.
