A group of activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League of Chattogram University chapter yesterday declared two teachers of CU as persona non- grata on the campus.
The two teachers are Maidul Islam, Associate Professor of Sociology Department, and Ali R. Raji,Assistant Professor of Communication and Journalism .
A group of BCL men led by former CU BCL president Mohammad Alamgir Tipu submitted a memorandum to the vice chancellor demanding to be dismissed them from CU.
BCL men allegedly said that the teachers were provocating students on facebook against Government and insulting Prime Minister. They also put status on supporting quoata movement.
BCL men further said the administration will have to take strict action against the two teachers because of insulting comments against the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, otherwise, the BCL will be forced to turn away towards the movement.
CU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr.Iftekhar Uddin Chowdury did not response over phone.
