A group of Bangladesh Chhatra Legue leaders and activists of Rajshahi University unit allegedly tortured a student confining the latter inside the room of the university Madar Bux hall on Monday midnight demanding extortion.
The victim was identified as Kazi Al-Amin, a 2nd year student of accounting and information system department is the resident student of Madar Bux hall.
Talking to the New Nation, Al-Amin alleged that BCL leader Robiul Islam Boni called him at room no. 303 around 12:00am midnight.
While I was going there, Boni along with his fellows demanded tk 10,000 as extortion to me threatening me of handing over to police, he also alleged.
