BCB launch shadow team ‘Bangladesh Tigers’

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) named 23-member for the shadow team “Bangladesh Tigers” on Saturday. Bangladesh Tigers, chairman Kazi Enam, BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury, school cricket chairman Obeid Nizam and BCB director Khaled Mahmud Sujon confirmed the matter to media.
Bangladesh Tigers comprises cricketers, who are outside the national team and are often deprived of training facilities. The cricketers of this shadow team will get the full benefit of practice in a whole calendar year. The cricketers will have the same position as the national team on this alternative side.
Bangladesh Tigers will begin their training camp from February 25 which will end on March 7 at Shahid Chandu Stadium at Bogura.
Umakant Patel, a British coach of Indian descent, has been appointed on a short-term contract for the camp. Sri Lankan coach Champaka Ramanayake is also in the program of Bangla Tigers.
