BCB announces ODI & T20I squad for NZ

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Friday the 20-memnber ODI and T20I squad of Bangladesh Cricket team for the upcoming New Zealand (NZ) tour. Bangladesh will play three One Day International (ODI) matches and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against New Zealand.
Bangladesh will take on New Zealand in the first ODI match at Dunedin on March 20, face the Kiwis in the second ODI match at Christchurch on March 23, meet New Zealand in the third ODI match at Wellington on March 26.
The Tigers will take on the Kiwis in the first T20I match at Hamilton on March 28, face New Zealand in the second T20I match at Napier on March 30, meet the Kiwis in the last T20I at Auckland on April 1.
Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will not go to New Zealand as he has granted a paternity leave by BCB. Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam was dropped from the squad. Pacer Al-Amin Hossain, all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain Saikat and top-order batsman Naim Sheikh have been included in the squad. The 26-year-old left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed has been called in the squad.
Experienced all-rounder Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was not included in the outgoing ODI series against West Indies. He was also not included in the 20-member Bangladesh ODI squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand.
The Bangladesh ODI & T20I squad will leave the city for New Zealand on February 23. The cricketers have to take 14-day quarantine there before taking part in the ODI and T20I matches against the Kiwis.
The cricketers, who have been included in the ODI & T20I squad, are: Tamim Iqbal, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mushfiqur Rahim, Md Mithun, Liton Das, Mahmudullah Riyad, Afif Hossain, Soumya Sarkar, Naim Sheikh, Taskin Ahmed, Al Amin Hossain, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mustafizur Rahman, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Rubel Hossain, Mahedi Hasan and Nasum Ahmed.
