The Plant Breeding Division of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) has arranged a field day on research activities of nutrient-rich minor cereal crops at the research field of the division on Sunday. BARI scientists, officers, scientific assistants, staff, workers, extension officers, agri-entrepreneurs, NGOs and farmers’ representatives from various were participated at the field day.
In the morning, BARI Director General Dr. Debasish Sarker inaugurated the field day program as chief guest. Chief Scientific Officer and Head of the Plant Breeding Division Dr. Md. Mubarak Ali presided over the function while Director (Research) Dr. Md. Tarikul Islam, Director (Oilseed Research Centre) Dr. Md. Abdul Latif Akanda, Director (Tuber Crops Research Center) Dr. Sohela Akhter, Director (Training and Communication Wing) Dr. Md. Saiful Islam and Director (Planning and Evaluation Wing) Dr. Mossammat Samsunnahar were present as special guests. Senior Scientific Officer of the Plant Breeding Division Dr. Md. Motiar Rohman gave the welcome address while Scientific Officer of the division Hasanuzzaman Raihan conducted the program.
