Bangladesh-Zimbabwe lone Test begins today

The touring Bangladesh Cricket team will take on the hosts Zimbabwe Cricket team in the lone Test match at Harare Sports Club Ground in Hahare of Zimbabwe today. The game starts at 1.30pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports and private satellite channel Gazi TV will telecast the match live.
After getting Test status in the year of 2000, Bangladesh faced Zimbabwe in 17 Test matches. Of them, Bangladesh registered win in seven Test matches, while Zimbabwe also won seven Tests and rest of the three Test matches ended in draws.
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh are now a experienced side and favourites than their opponents. Cricketers of Bangladesh showed a satisfactory performance against the Zimbabwe Selected XI in the recently concluded two-day practice match. Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and his other teammates performed well in batting as well as bowling. Specially, Bangladesh’s key weapon Shakib Al Hasan showed all-round performance. The other batsmen as Najmul Hossain Shanto, Saif Hassan, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mominul Haque and Liton Das shone with the willow.
Left-arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan, right-arm spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz, promising pacer Shoriful Islam, pacer Taskin Ahmed and pacer Ebadot Hossain shone with the cherry.
