UNB, Dhaka :
Bangladesh women’s Karate team won two gold medals in the 8th NSKA International Martial Art Karate Championship in Nepal on Friday.
In the Women’s Kata team event, Bangladesh team comprising Munni Khanam, Nasima Akter Jui and Mariam Khatun Bipasa won the gold beating Nepalese team of Krisa Sherpa, Renuka Pandey and Rojina Kamal.
Meanwhile, in the women’s single’s Kumi event (above 18), Nasima Akter Jui of Bangladesh secured the gold medal beating Ramila Nagorkot of Nepal while Sunita (Nepal) and Mahima Khatun (Pakistan) secured the bronze of the event.
Additional director and head (games & sports) of the meet sponsor Walton (RB group) FM Iqbal Bin Anwar distributed prizes among the winners after the competition.
