Bangladesh suffer 1-5 defeat to Japan in WHL

Bangladesh national hockey team suffered a 1-5 goals defeat to strong Japan in their first pool B match of World Hockey League round 2 held on Saturday in Singapore.
The Asian giant Japan took early lead in the 2nd minute of match and then scored three more goals in the 18th, 22nd and 31st minutes to take the full control in the first half.
The fifth goal came for Japan in the 44th minute.
On the other hand, Mamunur Rahman Chayan scored the consolation goal for Bangladesh in the 44th minute.
The last encounter between the two sides in Asian Games in Incheon of South Korea last year, Bangladesh suffered a massive 0-8 goals defeat.
Bangladesh also lost to Japan 0-3 in the 2013 Asian Cup in Malaysia.
The boys of red and green will play their second pool B match against Mexico today (Sunday) at the same venue before taking on Poland in the last Pool match.
