Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first against visiting West Indies in the first Test of a two-match series at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Thursday.Bangladesh have handed maiden Test cap to Nayeem Hasan at a simple ceremony on the day.
There are three changes in Bangladesh eleven that played against Zimbabwe in the second Test in Dhaka early this month as Nayeem Hasan got a spot alongside Shakib and Soumya Sarkar’s return, replacing Liton Kumar Das and Khaled Ahmed and Ariful Haque respectively.
