Bowlers continued their domination on the pitch on the second day as (BCB) North Zone faced batting debacle in their first innings in the four-day Bangladesh Cricket League held on Saturday at the Sher- e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Resuming the second day with overnight 15 for no loss, BCB North Zone dismissed their first innings at 235 in 97.5 overs, in reply to a Prime Bank’s 271 runs first innings total.
Back with a narrow 36 runs first innings, Prime Bank will begin their second innings on the third day (Monday).
Thanks to Al Amin Hossain for his fierce bowling spells that helped Prime Bank to fight back in the match.
BCB North Zone hardly failed to build any effective partnership during their second innings as they lost wicket in regular intervals, except all rounder Nasir Hossain fighting 70 runs knock.
The dependable right handed all rounder played a responsible 113-ball of 70 runs hitting nine boundaries and one over boundary, after BCB North Zone after Myshukur Rahman (42), Farhad Hossain (32) and Junaid Siddique (25) added an useful contributing for their team.
Tail-ender Taizul Islam was remained unbeaten with 29 runs with the help of four boundaries and one over boundary.
Al-Amin grabbed four wickets giving away 35 runs. He was well supported by Shuvagata Hom, Abdur Razzak and Sohag Gazi, who all captured two wickets conceding 21, 67 and 68 runs respectively.
