Kicks off Dec 10 in 64 districts at a time

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in support with the management of the country’s 64 districts’ Shilpakala Academies will organise a two-week long film festival titled Bangladesh Chalachchitra Utsab 2015 from December 10 to 24.
The festival will be inaugurated at the National Art Gallery Auditorium of BSA at 6:00pm by Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor MP.
Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu will be present as chief guest at the inauguration under the chair by BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky. Director of Drama and Film Department of BSA Sara Ara Mahmud will give the welcome speech on the occasion.
A total of 22 films directed by renowned filmmakers of the country will be screened during the festival. On the opening day, Tareque Masud’s Matir Moina will be screened at 7:00pm. Except Dhaka, films will be screened in auditoriums of all the Shilapakala Academies of the country.
This was announced at a press conference held at the Conference Room of BSA on Tuesday where Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky, Secretary of BSA Jahangir Hossain Chowdhury, noted filmmakers Morshedul Islam and Masihuddin Shaker, film researcher Anupam Hayat, Director of Drama and Film Department of BSA Sara Ara Mahmud spoke at the conference.
