Bangladesh Under-15 Women’s Football Team will play Malaysia Under-15 side in the opener of the four-team Jockey Club Girls International Youth Invitational Football Tournament at Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground in Hong Kong today (Friday).
The match of the friendly tournament will begin at 1:30pm (Bangladesh time) where Bangladesh booters will give their best to ensure a winning start in the tournament.
Bangladesh U15 side head coach Golam Rabbani Choton on Thursday said, “We all are very serious about our first match. We will put hundred percent effort and want to start the tournament with win.”
Bangladesh team defending wall member Akhi Khatun echoed the coach saying, “We are very careful about the first match and are strongly ready to do a good result.”
Leaving home in the early hours on the day, a 26-member Bangladesh contingent reached Hong Kong on Thursday.
All the 20 girls of Bangladesh team are okay and had their practice session under sunny weather there on Thursday.
Bangladesh will play next two matches against Asian powerhouse IR Iran and hosts Hong Kong at the same venue on March 31 and April 1 respectively.
Hong Kong Football Association has invited Bangladesh to participate in the tournament.
