Bangladesh A team took 234 runs lead against Zimbabwe A team on the third day of their 2nd four-day unofficial Test cricket at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Wednesday.
Replying to Bangladesh’s 258 runs in the first innings, visiting Zimbabwe resumed their first innings with overnight 91 for 6 and were dismissed for 132 runs in 39.5 overs.
Night watch Brian Chari scored team highest 47 runs off 95 balls with four fours and three sixes while number ten bat Taurai Muzarabani (27) was the other double digit scorer for Zimbabwe on third day.
Shahadat Hossain and Zubair Hossain grabbed four wickets each in the first innings for 33 and 49 runs respectively.
Opening their second innings on third day, Bangladesh A scored 108 runs for 5 wickets in 47.3 overs at stumps on the third day with 234-run lead.
Marshal Ayub scored team highest 53 runs off 123 balls with five fours and a six while Rakibul Hasan and opener Sadman Islam made 21 and 18 runs respectively.
Skipper Naeem Islam and Nurul Hasan were batting on 13 and 0 runs respectively.
Taurai Muzarabani, Tatenda Manatsa, skipper Vusimuzi Sibanda and Wellington Masakadza took one wicket each.
