Bangabandhu’s main political philosophy was to love people: Speaker

Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Monday said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s main political philosophy was to love people.
“By loving Bangabandhu turned people with the spirit of independence for building hunger and poverty free dream Sonar Bangla, which he brought the independence,” she was speaking as chief guest at a discussion on the occasion of celebration of the 98th birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children’s Day-2017.
Sheikh Russel Jatiya Shishu-Kishor Parisad organised the discussion at the National Museum auditorium with its founder chairman M Rakibur Rahman in the chair.
The Speaker, also Chairperson of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), described Bangabandhu’s life sketch from childhood to the legendary stage.
“Our children have to be groomed up as future citizen with the ideas of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” she urged.
Dr Shirin said, “Children have to be educated with information technology as competent citizens for facing the global challenges because the world is now become easy due to IT so that they could build future citizen with the ideas of Bangabandhu for establishing “Sonar Bangla” as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”
Lawmaker Mahmood-us-Samad Chowdhury, Sirajul Islam Mollah, Professor of BUET Dr M Kaikobad, general secretary of Chess Federation Syed Shahabuddin Shamim, Lion Mujibur Rahman Hawlader and KM Shahidullah also spoke.
The Speaker said the March 17 is the glorious day for the Bangalee nation, because the architecture of the country, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was born on that day at Tungipara.
She said, “Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s childhood, behavior and activities showed that he would be the greatest Bangalee of all time.”
Bangladesh is now moving forward in all sectors under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the CPA executive chairperson added.
