BAF Shaheen College Dhaka retained the Walton 2nd Inter-Shaheen Hockey Tournament title defeating BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola by 6-0 goals in the final at the BAF Shaheen College Tejgaon Ground in Dhaka on Thursday.
After the final match, Commander of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Base Bashar Air Vice Marshall Md Abul Bashar distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest, while Head of Sports and Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn and Adviser of ATN Bangla Mir Md Motahar Hossain were with him as special guests.
Principal of BAF Shaheen College Dhaka Group Captain AHM Amirul Ahsan presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
BAF Shaheen College Dhaka, the champions of the hockey meet were awarded Taka twenty five thousand, while BAF Shahen College Kurmitola, the runners-up of the competition were given Taka fifteen thousand.
Shafiqul Islam of BAF Shaheen College Dhaka was adjudged the Man of the Tournament and got Tk five thousand, while Mostafizur Rahman of BAF Shaheen College Dhaka, the highest scorer of the meet was given Taka five thousand.
