On the occasion of coming Eid promising director Masud Karim Sujon has made a special play titled Fokla Babu. Noted actor Zahid Hasan played the role of Fokla Babu in the play.
Against him popular TV actress Azmeri Haque Badhon acted in role of his wife. Sujon informed that shooting of the play was done in the city’s Uttara area recently. Manosh Paul wrote story of the play.
In the beginning of her career Badhon got the scope to work with Zahid Hasan. In Humayun Ahmed’s play Nattyokar Hamid Shaheb-er Ekdin, for the first time Badhon acted with Zahid Hasan. Later they worked together in several drama serials and faction plays. For the first time, Zahid Hasan acted in role of such Fokla Babu type character. Director Sujon informed that Zahid Hasan performed his level best to portray his role in the play properly.
While talking in this regard Zahid Hasan told this correspondent, “Though in the play, there is significant of my teeth so I have to maintain it properly and carefully while acting. I always prefer to work in exceptional role. Because acting in these types of roles there are many challenges. So I have enjoyed a lot working in the play. Therefore, Badhon performed well in role of my wife. She has matured enough in acting now.”
Badhon shared her feelings by this way, “Zahid Bhai is really a top class actor. From the beginning of my career I learned many things from him about acting and he assisted me well. He has a natural quality to make the atmosphere favourable for his co-actors while working with them. So acting comes from own soul.”
Director Sujon informed that Fokla Babu will be aired in any satellite channel in Eid-ul-Azha. Last week Zahid Hasan joined in Asian TV as its Chief Advisor. He will play the role for development of the programmes of the channel, he said.
