“We love to dream and work for it whole-heartily. And by reaching the distinct destination, we will enlighten and broaden our society as well as our loving country”, said Khan Mohammad Sabit Bin Faruki, General Secretary of Badhan (a voluntary blood donor organisation), JnU Unit.
Badhan, JnU unit is one of the student organisations of Jagannath University (JnU), relatively a juvenile club. The organisation started its journey on May 02, 2006 with an exact goal to accomplish the demand of blood and to inform blood group of each student not only in JnU but also all the institutes at Old Dhaka, in addition to accumulate youth and construct them effective citizens by heart.
Nayan Mia was the convener of the voluntary organisation. The organisation is going to with a motto “One’s blood another’s life, blood is the only means to bond inherently one another”.
From the very outset to till present it has donated blood more than thirteen thousand bags and informed blood group over twenty thousand peoples without any pay. It has fulfilled about 85% blood demand at the Old Dhaka.
This year the voluntary organisation has reached a milestone of its eight years expedition.
“We are very grateful to our blood donors, advisors, members, teachers and officials who are with us throughout this whole journey. We would like to especially thank to our chief patron, honorable Vice Chancellor of JnU Professor Dr Mizanoor Rahman. Without their help our journey would not have been possible”, stated Mamun Bhuiyan, President of Badhan, JnU unit.
Joint Secretary Saifur Rahman Fahad mentioned that to attain the achievement for over eight years all members as well as of course blood donors work heart and soul.
“As well, we are sitting twice a month at JnU precinct where the members express their ideas and take decision for the betterment of Badhan”.
“A part from planning and decision-making, we make fun a lot,” he affixed.
