Campus Report :
Australian International School (AusIS) organised a day long workshop on professional development at BATON ROUGE restaurant at Gulshan in the city on Thursday. All teaching staff, school admin staff, guest speaker from Australia and respected member of School Executive Committee took part in the training. The program started at 9 AM and ended at 3-30 pm following lunch.
The Principal of the school, Michael Bowmer delivered the welcome speech and gave presentations on code of ethics. Among other speakers, Gail Taylor from Australia, who is on routine inspection of the school on behalf of Western Australian Curriculum Council, spoke on the occasion. Gail spoke in detail about the WACE program ( Y 12 ) and praised the school’s overall performance.
The principal apprised the house that from next academic session ( Aug 2014 ) school is going to introduce IB curriculum.
At the end, Board Member Shafiqul Islam Bhuyian informed all that AusIS is going to start construction of its own campus at 300 ft Purbachal Road.
The program was of grand success.
