Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Saturday reiterated government’s firm stance to expose to justice the perpetrator of attacks on minority community in Brahmanbaria and feared it to be a plot to upset social peace and communal harmony.
“None of them (attackers) could escape the justice . . . the way the war criminals and the militant terrorists faced stern punitive actions, those who staged the attacks (on Hindus) will face the music,” he told newsmen after inaugurating an extended building of Bheramara Diabetic Association in this western district town.
Inu said in line with the government directives the administration launched a campaign to track down the culprits of the Brahanbaria attacks.
The minister termed the ‘Brahmanbaria attacks as “part of a conspiracy to frustrate the social peace and communal harmony” and cautioned all that the conspirators were still active with their evil design.
Inu particularly sought all concerned to keep an extra vigil on BNP and Jamaat in this regard.
JSD central leaders including Organizing Secretary of the JSD central committee Abdul Alim Shawpan, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shanti Moni Chakma and Additional Police Super Quamrul Islam, among others, were present during this time.
