On the occasion of the golden jubilee of the great independence in Borhanuddin of Bhola, a colorful rally and assembly was held with the participation of all the living freedom fighters of the district.
The freedom fighters carried out the programme in five upazilas starting from Bhola Sadar on Sunday.
At around 12 noon, the freedom fighters with a convoy of four trucks and a microbus marched from Bhola Sadar through Daulatkhan Upazila to Borhanuddin. At the end of the rally, the Upazila Parishad held a rally in the auditorium.
Borhanuddin Upazila Executive Officer and Muktijoddha Sangsad Administrator Saifur Rahman presided over the assembly.
Upazila Chairman Abul Kalam, former commander of the district freedom fighters. Dost Mahmud, former deputy commander of the district Shafiqur Rahman, former freedom fighter commander of Borhanuddin Achmat Ali delivered the speech.
