Asian Handball: Bangladesh concede 5th defeat in a row

Bangladesh Handball team, in their first appearance in the heavyweight Asian meet, suffered 5th defeat in a row in the 18th Asian Men’s Handball Championship after conceding 10-35 goals defeat against China in the Korean city of Suwon on Tuesday.
Bangladesh were trailing by 6-19 goals in the first half.
Sohel Rana and Mehedi Hasan scored three goals each while Mahbub, Imdadul, Sagar and Masum netted one each for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh made a dismal start in the Asian Handball conceding 20-46 goals defeat against hosts and Olympic champions South Korea, suffered the 2nd successive defeat losing to United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 15-36 goals, tasted the 3rd defeat losing to India by 11-41 goals and suffered the 4th defeat in a row losing to Australia by 22-35 goals.
Fourteen teams, split into four groups, are taking part in the 11-day meet, a qualifying meet for the Men’s World Cup Handball to be held either in Denmark or Germany next year. Top four teams of the ongoing 18th Asian Handball meet will qualify for the World Cup Handball-2019.
