Bangladesh Army emerged as the champions of the Independence Day Rugby Competition defeating Flame Boys Rugby Club by 38-3 points in the final at the Paltan Maidan on Wednesday.
Flame Boys Club became runners-up of the tournament.
After the final match, freedom fighter Mojammel Haque distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Proprietor of Ananya Prokashoni Monirul Haque and Rugby Coach of England Neil Henderson were with him as special guests.
General Secretary Of Bangladesh Rugby Federation (BRF) Mousum Ali, Vice-President of BRF Abdullah Al Jahir and Joint-Secretary of the Federation Sayeed Ahmed were present at the time.
