11 Infantry Division emerged the champions in the Bangladesh Army Basketball Competition held at the Bogura Cantonment on Thursday. The 11 Infantry Division arranged the basketball meet. The 24 Infantry Division finished runners-up in the meet. Sergeant Shafiar Rahman of 11 Infantry Division became the best player of the competition, while Shakil Ahmed of 24 Infantry Division awarded the promising player of the basketball meet. The basketball competition was held marking the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
After the concluding match, General Officer Commanding and Area Commander of Bogura Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
A total of 15 teams took part in the basketball competition. The basketball meet began on February 24.
